Remove the Partner lock on Twitch Drops and events for Sea of Thieves

The Issue

As a passionate member of the Sea of Thieves community, it's disheartening to witness the growing divide between smaller streamers and the established Partners. Currently, the Twitch Drops and other Twitch-related events, including the upcoming December 15th Sub Gift event, are exclusive to these large-scale Partners. While Partners undoubtedly bring value and visibility to the game, this lock-in policy diminishes opportunities for less prominent content creators who are eager to contribute and grow within the Sea of Thieves community.

The existing policy is unfair and overlooks the immense potential of small streamers who could greatly benefit from inclusive Twitch Drops and events. These opportunities motivate streamers to invest their time and energy broadcasting Sea of Thieves, ultimately enriching the entire community with diverse content and perspectives.

Recognizing the value of all streamers, regardless of their partnership status, is crucial in fostering a thriving, inclusive gaming environment. Opening these events to all Sea of Thieves players allows more voices to be heard, encouraging creativity, engagement, and community growth.

Small streamers often struggle to gain visibility, and the current exclusive policies further widen the gap, glorifying an elite group while neglecting the rest. The Partner lock presents barriers that prevent community participation and discourage emerging streamers who are vital to sustaining Sea of Thieves’ vibrant environment.

By removing the Partner lock on Twitch Drops and special events, Sea of Thieves has the chance to truly support its entire community, not just a select few. This change would invigorate the player base, foster goodwill, and inspire countless streamers to showcase the creativity and camaraderie that Sea of Thieves embodies.

Join me in urging Rare Ltd. to reconsider their policies and create an equal playing field for all Sea of Thieves streamers. By signing this petition, you support a more inclusive approach that empowers small streamers and enhances the overall community experience.
