Budget meeting updates

In the subcommittee meeting hosted on 9/25/2023 it was reported that 20 events have been removed from the HOA operational budget. Repeatedly it was suggested that these events are not planned to be cancelled however recreation staff will be responsible for planning the caliber of event we are accustomed to without a budget, with less staff and are expected to get these events funded fully through sponsorship and volunteers. It is disappointing to learn that this is the plan for continuing the Best Place to Live philosophy. Starving an event of opportunity to flourish can still be seen as a cancellation.
