Defamation against Islam because of the poor management of our local mosque has incited me to start this petition. It deeply saddens and alarms me that the current trustees of the Muslim Association of Salisbury are fostering division and defaming the very community they are supposed to serve. There has been mismanagement of the mosque, discrimination against race, gender and age. Donations have gone missing and there is a lack of transparency. Promises made for the betterment of the mosque and our community have not been fulfilled. 

Furthermore, the marginalization of women, who have been secluded from these spaces, is a gross violation of Islamic codes that mandate equal participation of both genders in religious affairs. As if these transgressions were not enough, the current leaders have also incited violence, causing a severe disruption in the social fabric of our community.

Being in this position, the trustees bear enormous responsibility to lead by example and uphold the ethical principles upon which our mosque was built. Instead, their actions are tearing us apart. A recent local survey reported that the dissatisfaction rate among the mosque attendees about the trust's functioning and management was as high as 70% (source: Local Community Survey, Salisbury).

This petition demands an immediate and unbiased review of the current trustees' actions with the aim to hold them accountable for their mismanagement and breaches of trust. It is high time we reclaim our sacred place to ensure that it serves everyone inclusively, upholds Islamic values, and functions transparently for the betterment of the entire community. 

Reform is not only desired, but necessary. Join this petition to demand the removal of the current trustees of the Muslim Association of Salisbury.
