The purpose of me creating this petition was to provide a meeting point for our community.  It was in response to hearing children complain about their education.  I never imagined it would be a springboard for social media pages or news articles  and I was happy that people were inspired enough to dig deep into the slew of issues that were uncovered.

Last night’s meeting was incredible.  Finding our voice as a community and finally speaking out against years of educational manipulation was exactly what I had hoped for.  But I think many of us left believing our fight was not over.  History cannot repeat itself and we cannot be pacified until the BYOG program or some other “innovative” yet unfounded education approach is thrown at our children. Our community needs to continue speaking out.

The people behind the email (not me) are asking you to write– to stay engaged, to continue to be involved, and to remain active.  We didn’t come this far just to come this far. I will see you at the next BOE meeting.  I mean – they did say they loved seeing us there!
