Happy Saturday! Our team has begun canvassing neighborhoods to collect physical signatures of constituents in District E. It is slow moving but we are pushing. Here is the situation. We need roughly 33% of registered voters in District E to physically sign the petition. That equates to roughly 5,600 signatures. For reference, when he was re-elected in 2023, 5,658 people voted in TOTAL. And 3,866 of those were for Shane. So we have a tough task ahead of us. We are working on setting up more canvassing dates and booth set ups. We will have reps at MAC’S FRESH MARKET (520 Lincoln Rd in Monroe) on Saturday, September 27, beginning at 8am for anyone who is available to come sign. ALSO… We need volunteers to help us canvas! All of us involved so far are part time volunteers with jobs and kids and responsibilities and we need as many people willing to handle some of the leg work as possible.
