**Who is affected? What is the problem?**  

For millions of fans around the world, the *Harry Potter* universe has been a source of comfort, identity, and community. The stories have inspired generations of queer, neurodiverse, and marginalized individuals — many of whom saw Hogwarts as a safe space, a place where they finally felt they belonged.  

But the continued involvement of J.K. Rowling, whose public statements have caused significant harm to the transgender community and others, casts a long shadow over this world. More than just words, Rowling **actively donates substantial amounts of money to organizations that campaign against the rights and dignity of trans people**.  

Every new project, film, game, or merchandise item she profits from helps **fund these harmful ideologies directly**. This reality makes it increasingly difficult for fans to engage with the franchise without feeling complicit — or hurt.

**What is the demand or solution?**  

We are calling on Warner Bros. Discovery and other key rights holders to **seriously explore the complete acquisition of the Harry Potter intellectual property from J.K. Rowling**.  

Such a move would not only liberate the franchise from her influence and open the door to more inclusive and innovative storytelling, but would also send a powerful message: that the values of empathy, courage, and acceptance — values many fans see in the stories — will not be undermined by the actions of their creator.

**Why is it important to act now?**  

Fans are left with no real alternative: either turn away from something they love, or continue supporting a system that empowers a person who uses her wealth and platform to target vulnerable groups.  

This petition offers a third way — a collective stand to reclaim the magic from harmful hands and to return the Wizarding World to the people it inspired.  

It’s time to act. Time to show that a story can outgrow its author. Time to create a future where *everyone* truly feels welcome at Hogwarts — not just in fiction, but in the world behind it.
