Living in Moraga and attending Campolindo High School presents a unique challenge every day: finding a place to park my car without worrying about time restrictions. As someone who depends on my vehicle to attend school, the current parking restrictions place unnecessary stress and limitations on my daily routine. There's only one street, typically convenient for me to park, but it's thwarted by a two-hour parking limits from 10 to 12, right in the middle of the school day.

Many students and staff at Campolindo High School face the same predicament. The two-hour parking restrictions around the school pose unreasonable challenges, disrupting our ability to attend classes without worry. Students and staff frequently spend precious time searching for parking, a concern that shouldn’t distract us from our academic responsibilities. Moreover, the struggle is worse on busy streets and during crowded school events. 

The current parking situation forces students to choose between paying frequent fines or walking considerable distances from off-campus locations. Those who find closer parking often encounter heavy traffic congestion when attempting to leave the school.

We urge the Moraga Town Council and Moraga Parking Enforcement to reassess and amend the current parking restrictions around Campolindo High School. Implementing long-term parking permits for students and staff or designating specific parking zones for extended stays could serve as a feasible solution. These changes will ensure a better environment for everyone involved.
