Remove Megyn Kelly from all media platforms

Remove Megyn Kelly from all media platforms
The Issue
As a survivor of sexual abuse and a witness to the trauma it inflicts on countless women and children, I find it deeply disturbing and dangerous that someone like Megyn Kelly continues to have a platform. Her statements and rhetoric, which trivialize serious crimes like pedophilia and rape, endanger the very lives of those already at risk. For survivors like myself and most women I know who have endured the harrowing experiences of sexual abuse, it's crucial to ensure that media voices do not perpetuate misinformation and dangerous ideologies, especially concerning children's and women's rights.
Recently, Megyn Kelly has been spreading harmful and misleading beliefs that could have serious repercussions on public perception. She has muddled the waters by suggesting there is a difference between sexually abusing a child under 10 years of age vs a 15-year-old. With this statement, she broadened the scope, creating a spectrum of what’s more acceptable, reaching the conclusion that the age of consent could be as low as 14-15 years, and implying that pedophiles are only those who engage in sexual misconduct with children under the age of ten. Such statements are not only factually incorrect but are also apologetic towards rapists and pedophiles, which makes her a serious threat to society at large.
Currently, children under 16 in the United States cannot legally consent to any sexual contact, and all states set the age of consent higher than that. Additionally, federal law establishes the age of consent at 18 years for interstate cases and other purposes, overriding state laws.
According to the law, any sexual activity with minors is illegal and should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. By spreading such misinformation, Megyn Kelly undermines the legal frameworks that protect minors from sexual exploitation.
It's not only the inaccurate information she spreads that's alarming, but also the impact her words have on young boys, girls, and vulnerable populations who hear her rhetoric. These ideas may distort their understanding of consent and sexual abuse, potentially leading to a perpetuation of abuse cycles that victims and advocates are working vigorously to break.
Therefore, I urge media companies, social networking platforms, and content distributors, including but not limited to YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, as well as radio and podcast networks, such as Sirius XM, Apple Podcast, Simplecast, Spotify, TuneIn, iHeartRadio, Pandora, Amazon Music, Player FM and all others, to collectively act by removing Megyn Kelly from their platforms. This is not about silencing free speech but about protecting public safety and adhering to ethical standards. Media personalities should be held accountable for spreading harmful misinformation.
By signing this petition, you're holding these platforms responsible for safeguarding the rights of women and children, demanding a media environment free from dangerous ideologies, and ensuring a safe space for survivors. Join in taking a stand to prevent harmful rhetoric from causing further damage. Sign the petition to remove Megyn Kelly from all media platforms.
