Petition for the Resignation of Ladoga Councilmember Tricia Garcia

Petition for the Resignation of Ladoga Councilmember Tricia Garcia
The Issue
As a resident of Ladoga, I have always believed that our town leaders should embody fairness, respect, and an unbiased demeanor toward all constituents. However, it has come to my attention that a current Town Council member has consistently expressed hate and disgusting rhetoric towards Republicans and any individual who voted for the current President of the United States. This behavior is not only disheartening but completely unacceptable from someone in a position of representation and leadership. This conduct is unbecoming of an elected official and the hate has no place in a leadership role with the Town of Ladoga.
Council members are elected to represent the community's voices, to build bridges, not walls, amongst residents with different political ideologies. Our town’s representative should exemplify unbiased and non-prejudicial characteristics for the betterment of the town they serve. When one person holds public office but spreads hate and disdain towards a significant portion of the community, it divides rather than unites us, hindering our collective development and progress.
The divisive comments and discriminatory actions of this council member have created a toxic atmosphere in Ladoga, detrimental to the harmonious and productive environment we strive for. Civic leaders need to lead with integrity and inclusivity, ensuring that all voices, regardless of political affiliation, are heard and respected.
No public servant should operate under the guise of bias, especially in a diverse and potential-rich town like Ladoga. The focus must remain on what will lead our town forward, supporting initiatives and legislations that benefit all residents rather than serve a narrow agenda.
For these reasons, I urge Councilwoman Garcia to take immediate actions in removing this member from their position. The responsibility is on us to hold our leaders to the highest standards, insisting on accountability and ensuring they truly serve the community as a whole, without prejudice.
Please sign this petition to demand the removal of this divisive figure from our Town Council, and help restore the principles of equality and respect in our local government. Together, we can create a more inclusive and united Ladoga.
Update September 24th, 2025:
Town Board meeting was held. Numerous residents spoke on this matter. Mrs Garcia became defensive. Within 20 minutes of the meeting ending she posted to social media yet again. The implication of retaliatory revenge is blatantly clear.
