I am a passionate follower of basketball - it is more than a game; it's a lifestyle. But every game Jaxson Hayes plays, it's another blow to my passion. His performance has been subpar and it's getting worse. My love for basketball compels me to say this - Jaxson Hayes needs to leave (or be removed from) the National Basketball Association immediately (NBA).

Jaxson Hayes, a former player of the New Orleans Pelicans, who now plays for the Los Angeles Lakers, has unfortunately not shown promising improvement over the seasons. His stats in the 2024-2025 season speak volumes: he's clocked in at only an average of 6.9 points per game, with an average of 4.8 rebounds per game. The average NBA player has 8.9 rebounds and 8.7 points per game, so Hayes' performance simply isn't up to par. Especially for being a player who should be benefiting from the gravity of Luka Doncic, Lebron James, and even Austin Reaves.

Beyond statistics, the spirit of basketball is about skill, consistency, and igniting a love for the game in fans' hearts. Sadly, I and many other fans feel that Jaxson Hayes is not embodying these values on the court. Every night I watch a Lakers game I feel as if I lose 3 hours of my life. We need players who not only perform well statistically, but also inspire others with their play – and that doesn't seem to be happening with Hayes.

Basketball, for us, is more than just a sport. And when a player is consistently underperforming, it impacts the quality of the game and our enjoyment as fans. Therefore, my request is not personal, but a plea for the enhancement and respect of the game we all love. As soon as I look at social media and see the starting lineup I become utterly miserable. I cry until tipoff, which even that disgusts me as Jaxson Hayes is the one jumping. I speak for everybody when I say Jaxson Hayes is a worse person than Josef Stalin.
