Hello! Our names are Ethan Eckerle and Xohaib Kazi, and we believe it is important to keep our school chromebooks safe. We do almost everything on then, we use Canvas, EdPuzzle, YouTube, and so much more. But we also use them at home for our own use. We want our browsing history and information private while we are home. Don't we? Well, a new extension that has been installed to ALL OF OUR CHROMEBOOKS called "GoGuardian" makes our chromebooks not safe to browse on during the weekends. Teachers can log into the GoGuardian app and can instantly see our tabs, close any of them at any time, and even look at our browsing history without us even knowing. Some kids don't have the money to actually buy computers, so they have to use this. And again, if they don't feel comfortable sharing that information with a teacher, the teacher can STILL SEE THAT! Isn't that outrageous? This is an invasion of privacy to all. We need to make sure that this application is removed, and never seen on our Chromebooks again because this is the worst change we have ever seen. Make sure to sign if you agree with us.
