Siege of Avalon

the game was created by Digital Books, and should only be available for free... the game was created under digital books because the people who created the game didn't have an actual company at the time... the game was built in their spare time while they worked regular jobs, in and out of digital gaming. people are basically making money off of this game illegally, it was released as a free download... currently you can buy it on amazon for 4-5 bucks... this has to stop, the game itself is excellent all by itself but people should have let it continue being a free download. since the creators are not making any money off the game, companies like amazon should not be allowed to sell it. now i list this on here, not only because people are being ripped off for a game that is the epitome of what a free game should be, but because i would like to see the game receive its due of attention as is as well as attempting a remake of the game. the two main ideas for a remake would be a first-person aspect game or top-down like the original. either way there are issues because there will be no tricks to exploit on a remake, because the game is so old that (as far as i know) there is no current information beyond what's in-game or any information on any programming or sprites etc. around... the only things that still exist are some pics from searching images on the internet specifically for Siege of Avalon. there have been a shit-ton of crappy games that have used avalon and king arthur in their titles, in my opinion these games are a discrace to gaming in general and are a complete slap in the face to anyone who ever played Siege of Avalon, not a single one of those many games holds a single candle to this game. you have to play the game to see what i am talking about... this game was so far ahead of games of its time, and every RTS/top-down game today owes pretty much everything to this game. amazon and someone else who has no business selling this: http://www.amazon.com/Siege-Of-Avalon-PC/dp/B0000AKA84 i would like to get more people interested in donating a small amount each month to the company to take the game and finish the story of avalon and its surrounding lands. not to mention the need to legally take ownership for the sake of the game, and stop people from making money on a game that is still downloadable for free on a few sites. if you want to experience this free game for yourself: http://www.abandonia.com/en/games/29914/siege+of+avalon+-+chapter+1.html they will ask for a donation or subscription donation after download stops, which is how it should be specially on amazon. with this game there will be a bit of a mess in regards to legal issues obtaining ownership of the game and any future games with the same name... that is going to be the difficult part, but we can prepare to do the work now. donations will be a key to move this petition and get my company on track to do the work to do what needs to be done by these games. so once again please consider donating a buck a month, less than what any other company will ask for monthly donations.
