only talking about 3 games here, since i have already stated my intentions with RAGE. Fallout 3 Fallout: New Vegas Oblivion (I am not even considering skyrim at this point, it's beyond help, and doesn't need it that much besides) Fallout 3: - rebuild the game using a engine that isnt broken to begin with, keeping the storyline and side missions/quests intact as well as the environment placement (except size and distances of areas etc.) - add vehicles/mounts like the game was originally meant to have, including building/repair/salvage (the vehicles/mounts in the Fallout series were never meant to be weaponized from what i have seen so there will be no add-ons for these, but people can always make mods for it). - completely stable mod handling by the game, by having the game use mods that are themselves stable, this means that the game will only run the mods that do not have massive errors from code or models etc. - use engine or mod tools to create mods, with a built in error correcting and analyzing system to make sure that everything that is included in the mod works properly and gives proper input/output for modders to fix their mistakes especially for anything they might be overriding in the game. - no infinite meshes, or texture/mesh tearing in the environment or models. - no outside dependencies so the game doesn't stop working if something goes wrong with some other framework. (asp.net, .net framework, etc.). - try to create a better dismemberment/gib system that is hopefully adds a bit more realism to cadavers. - realistic death physics (no more flying bodies all over the place). - no more meshes/models that get stuck in objects, whether its the ground/environment or walls/NPC's/etc. - maybe making some things interchangeable between the Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas (or just giving both games the same assets for modders to work with). Fallout New Vegas: - mostly the same as for Fallout 3 - add specific vehicle chariots etc. for the caesar's legion. - better gun modding in-game making the parts removable and replaceable, or adding the parts another gun has if you are using it to repair another gun of the same type. - more weapon/armor options, boots/shoes/etc, gloves/gauntlets, jackets/shirts/upper body armor, shoulderpads/spaulders/pauldrons, belts, neckties/bows/collars, thigh-pads/hip armor/thigh armor/upper leg, lower-body armor/cod pieces/underwear/shorts/pants/chastity belt, earrings, eye glasses, helmet/other head armor/hats. - upgrading/defending towns/areas etc., or reclaiming them... this would allow for updates to side-quests allowing a different outcome for some areas, such as building up autogun placements fencing and some other things. TES Oblivion: - again using a stable engine to remake the game, keeping the storyline and side-quests intact, keeping the areas/towns the same (again except for distances and size of each area). - better horses by creating a interchangeable/replaceable armor and saddle system for horses, creating untrained/trained/warrior class/etc. horses of varying degrees of ability and training to make them more involved in the overall gameplay and become much more immersive within the game context. - more variety of medieval weaponry and armor, including scrap armor/weapons etc. working up to the best armor in tamriel (both magical and seemingly godly, but you will have to work for it) - more choices during the beginning/training mission for the game. - a better more in depth character creation system. - armor system for all body parts. - tattoos/magic effects (depending on some things) - a much wider range of races to choose from (goblins, ogres, minotaur, demon, maybe more) - add some races (male and female versions) from the lore that would fit contextually into the game (possibly centaurs, giants, falmer, etc.). - what you see is what you also get from drops on dead enemies (armor, weapons, etc. that they are wearing or using) - fix the races to have more distinct and varying racial skills that is more 'realistic' to the lore of the games, this would include give khajiit/argonian there claws and tails back as well as some other important changes. - different skeletons to even more differentiate the races properly, this will be telling in playing each race player perspective. - remove loading zones and make every areas/buildings/etc. apart of the same giant map (this will be true for FO3 and FNV as well) not sure if beth will give the rights for these three games, but we can certainly try.
