We have reached 100 signers on the petition! The growth has been slow but people are still signing. Please share the petition if you haven’t already. The momentum is definitely against Flock and there have been many municipalities that have done away with their Flock contracts. Now let’s make that happen here!
Please plan to come out to the DeFlock Cherokee town hall on Wednesday, October 7, 7–9 PM at The Chambers at City Center, 8534 Main Street, Woodstock. Here is part of the description from the people hosting the event:
“Our speakers will share our research, paint a picture of the surveillance technology operating in Cherokee County, and tell you how you can get involved in the fight against mass surveillance at home.
Most importantly, the majority of the town hall will be an extensive Q&A, as we open the floor to any and all public comments, questions, ideas, and debate. The fight against mass surveillance isn't about just us; it's about every resident of Cherokee County, and every one of us deserves to have a say, to speak publicly, and to make our voice heard.”
