Many of you signed our earlier petition calling for the removal of Superintendent Ayindé Rudolph. That effort succeeded, but the problems in our school district have not ended with his departure.
During her six years on the MVWSD Board, Trustee Devon Conley blindly supported and enabled Rudolph’s reckless spending. She approved millions of dollars in wasteful contracts for consultants, "sacred energy healer" meditation, PR firms, and district office renovations, while ignoring community concerns about waste, secrecy, and misplaced priorities.
When parents and taxpayers raised concerns, Conley brushed them aside—dismissing and ignoring the public—while claiming the costs were insignificant. Yet at the same time, our classrooms lacked basics like art supplies, snacks, cleaning materials, and working computers. As Board President, her focus was not on students, but on protecting the Superintendent: she approved a $180,000 PR contract to promote Rudolph as a “thought leader,” pushed through his early contract renewal, lifted his travel restrictions, overlooked his lavish five-star hotel stays, and ultimately approved a severance package that shielded him from legal accountability for his actions.
Conley is also a chief proponent of the financially disastrous Staff Housing Project - a project that was originally promised to cost $56 Million, but has ended up costing our kids $140 Million due to Board and staff's failure to follow feasibility guidelines and poor overall planning.
Our kids deserves fiscal responsibility, transparency, and leaders who listen to the community. Devon Conley’s track record shows the opposite.
That’s why we are moving forward with an effort to recall her from her position as a MVWSD School Board Trustee.
To recall Trustee Conley, we need your signature. If you believe it's time for new leaders who put our kids first, please indicate your intent to sign the recall petition here:
