Remove Dead End Paranormal Park from KIDS profile on Netflix; change age rating to TV14

The Issue

As parents, we trust Netflix Kids to be a safe space for our children — a place where they can explore fun, age-appropriate content without being exposed to themes they’re not ready to process.

Right now, the show Dead End: Paranormal Park is rated TV-Y7 and shows up in Netflix’s Kids profile. But this rating doesn’t match the content.

This show includes:

A main character who runs away from home after family conflict

Themes of identity struggles and rejection

Demons, possessions, and frightening supernatural imagery that go far beyond “cartoon mischief”

These aren’t the kinds of topics 7-year-olds are ready for. Independent reviewers (like Common Sense Media) actually recommend it for ages 10 and up — which better matches a TV-PG rating.

I'm recommending TV-14 so it will be removed from KIDS profile.

Why this matters:

Parents depend on Netflix Kids filters. When a Y7 rating is applied to content with heavier themes, it misleads parents and puts our younger children in front of material they may not understand.

This isn’t about banning the show. Families with older kids can still choose to watch. But the rating should reflect the actual maturity level of the storylines.

Moving it to TV-14 would shift it out of the Netflix Kids — still accessible, but protected from younger audiences.

Our request:

We urge Netflix to reclassify Dead End: Paranormal Park from TV-Y7 to TV-14 so parents can make informed choices, and children can be protected from themes they’re not ready to process.

Please join me in this appeal by signing this petition. Together, we can work towards creating a safer viewing experience for our beloved children.
