My children watch Cocomelon and the new spinoff, Cocomelon Lane. This WAS a show I trusted to be both entertaining and educational. However, recently I noticed an episode featuring two homosexual fathers encouraging their male child to dress in drag and perform. This is simply inappropriate for young viewers, and it clearly pushes the transgender movement on impressionable young minds.

As a parent, I am deeply concerned about the content our children consume. While every family is unique , it is crucial to ensure that we keep young minds as free as possible from the ideology that this clearly pushes. This particular episode goes beyond what I find suitable for my children and contradicts the values I want to instill in them.

We must ensure that children's programs remain neutral and age-appropriate.

As parents we must keep our eyes open. This does not have anything to do with any counter argument that it’s teaching our children inclusivity. It’s not. It’s confusing and it opens the door to questions that the young mind shouldn’t focus on. Robbing a parent’s right to CHOOSE when they want to discuss these topics. No child on their own, unprovoked and uninfluenced, questions why they don’t have two mommies or two daddies. So exposing them to this is unnecessary. 

Therefore, I am calling for the producers of Cocomelon Lane to reconsider and remove this episode from their widely viewed catalog. ESPECIALLY due to the strife in our country over this very issue.  I urge them to listen to parents' voices worldwide who share similar concerns.
