"Anna Delvey" , or Anna Sorokin is a Russian con artist and fraudster who pretended to be as a wealthy heiress and stole $275,000 from banks, hotels, financial institutions and even her close friend, whom she defrauded out of $62,000. 

Sorokin was convicted of attempted grand larceny, larceny in the second degree and theft of services, and she was sentenced to 4-12 years in prison. 

After serving 2 of those years, and with years more remaining on her sentence,   ABC has inexplicably decided to REWARD Sorokin's criminal behavior with fame and payment for her to appear on their Internationally broadcasted show "Dancing with the Stars."

As of 2024, Sorokin is under house arrest in upstate New York. Judge Charles Conroy explicitly forbade Sorokin to create social media accounts when he allowed her the opportunity to stay in a house instead of behind bars,  and she is now contracted to appear appear on International television... while simultaneously serving out her prison sentence. 

Sorokin is neither a dancer, nor a Star.  Sorokin is a convicted felon, and according to her sentence, she still belongs in prison, not broadcasted to the children and adults  all over the world as a "Star".
