Colleen Ballinger is a popular YouTuber who claims to support body positivity, LGBTQ+ rights, among other righteous viewpoints. As a person who makes videos that target children and teens, recent headlines have shown that the safety of those children and teens is in jeopardy by Ballinger remaining on the platform. She has used it in the past to make racist, fatphobic, and otherwise unacceptable content that she labels as "satire." Although she's made public apologies, she also makes a habit of excusing her behavior, only to continue doing further harm.

     As more factual, evidence proven information continues to come to light, it is important that we take action. Ballinger has allegedly had inappropriate relationships with some of her fans, most, if not all being minors. Ballinger allegedly had private chats with many of her underage fans. The members of these chats have come forward to claim that in those chats, Ballinger would "trauma dump" on them, complaining about her first husband, and often making sexual comments to them. She even sent one of her fans lingerie when he was a minor. This has been proven and Ballinger admitted to it in an apology video where she claims it was a stupid mistake.

     One of the most disturbing allegations is that she distributed pornography to a minor for the express purpose of mocking the woman’s body in the videos. Colleen has yet to address any of the more serious accusations, while in her response video, she openly victim blames and attempts to guilt trip the audience.

     By removing Colleen Ballinger from YouTube, it would keep her young fans safe from anymore of her "mistakes." As a former fan, I feel completely taken advantage of. She used people like me to gain views, and to make money, all while preaching against the very things she's participated in. Please sign this petition imploring YouTube to remove Colleen Ballinger and her subsequent accounts from their platform permanently.
