Removal of Cell Tower by Trinity Elementary School and Keeping Towers away from all WCS

The Issue

As a concerned parent and resident of Franklin, TN, I am writing this petition to urge the authorities to remove the cell phone tower located near Trinity Elementary School and prevent cell towers from being constructed near every school in Williamson County. Vogue Towers LLC. is looking to put these cell towers near every school in Williamson County. Here is the list on their website:

Allendale Elementary School, Bethesda Elementary School, Brentwood High School, Brentwood Middle School,Cenennial High School, Chapman's Retreat Elementary School, Clovercroft Elementary School, College Grove Elementary School, Creekside Elementary School, Crockett Elementary School, East Elementary School, Edmondson Elementary School, Fairview Elementary School, Fairview Middle School, Fairview High School, Franklin High School, Grassland Elementary School, Grassland Middle School, Hillsboro Elementary School, Hunters Bend Elementary School, Independence High School, Jordan Elementary School, Lipscomb Elementary School, Longview Elementary School, Mill Creek Elementary School, Nolensville High School, Page High School, Page Middle School, Pearre Creek Elementary School, Pinewood Heights Elementary School, Ravenwood High School, Scales Elementary School, South Elementary School, Spring Station Middle School, Summit High School, Sunset Elementary School, Sunset Middle School, Thompson Station Elementary School, Thompson Station Middle School, Westwood Elementary School, Woodland Middle School.

This issue is personal to me as my children attend school at Trinity Elementary, participate in sports activities at the fields nearby, and we live in the Watkins Creek neighborhood.

Cell phone towers emit electromagnetic radiation that has been a subject of concern among health experts and researchers. While there is ongoing debate about the potential health risks associated with prolonged exposure to such radiation, it is crucial for us to prioritize the well-being of our children and community members.

According to multiple studies conducted by reputable organizations like the World Health Organization (WHO) and American Cancer Society (ACS), long-term exposure to high levels of electromagnetic radiation may have adverse effects on human health. These effects can range from increased risk of cancerous tumors to neurological disorders & cardiac events.

Furthermore, placing a cell phone tower near educational institutions like WCS raise concerns about potential interference with students' ability to concentrate and learn effectively. Studies have shown that exposure to high levels of electromagnetic radiation can lead to symptoms such as headaches, fatigue, difficulty concentrating, sleep disturbances - all factors that can significantly impact academic performance.

Cecil Lewis Park & Fly Park serve as a recreational hub for families in Watkins Creek and families in the surrounding community. It provides an opportunity for children and adults alike to engage in physical activities while enjoying nature's beauty. Placing a cell phone tower nearby not only compromises the aesthetics but also raises concerns about potential harm caused by continuous exposure during leisure time.

We understand that reliable communication infrastructure is essential for modern society; however, we believe it should be implemented responsibly without compromising public health or disrupting educational environments. Therefore,

We respectfully request:

1. The immediate removal of the cell phone tower located near Trinity Elementary School/Fly & Cecil Lewis Park/Watkins Creek Neighborhood
2. A thorough investigation into alternative locations for the tower that are away from residential areas, schools, and parks.
3. The implementation of stricter regulations and guidelines regarding the placement of cell phone towers near educational institutions, neighborhoods, and recreational areas.

By signing this petition, we express our collective concern for the well-being of our children, families, and community members. Together, let us ensure a safe and healthy environment for all residents of Franklin.
