With the rampant cameos of Outbreak in the recent remakes (+RE7!) as well as playing as the daughter of an Outbreak protagonist in Resident Evil: Requiem, I believe it's time to urge Capcom to heavily consider remaking Outbreak for modern audiences with refined controls, especially since the servers are down for Outbreak nowadays and is hard to access due to being restricted to the PlayStation 2.

Resident Evil: Outbreak was one of the first RE games I ever played at a very young age, it helped me get through hard times as a child and could only ever play it solo. I revisited it last year and it was fun to play, but severely lacking due to the AI partners being buggy. You can play online, but you have to buy the Japanese copy of the game, which many people cannot do! I want this game to be remade to relive many people's childhoods, as well as to introduce the now-established significance of this game's story to a modern audience without gatekeeping it.

The producer of RE9, Masato Kumazawa, has also stated that he would personally like to remake Outbreak, saying "But maybe if there are lots of user needs or there’s a need from the gamers or they want more like Outbreak, then maybe yes."

So this is where we get out voices heard! Sign the petition so we can get Capcom to remake Outbreak!
