Bad teaching always has bad consequences which we have seen particularly in the Jewish holocaust. Much good has happened since in Jewish-Christian relations but there are remaining dregs of Christian anti-semitism including this sculpture. Wrong teaching about God's purposes for his own people is not a mere historical curiosity; it is a poison that is contrary to Scripture and God's single plan through Abraham, Israel and the Messiah Jesus for all the nations of the world. There is no Christian church without its continuing Jewish core according to Romans 11. "God's gifts and his call are irrevocable".
