We undersigned demand with this petition that the UN headquarters and General Assembly meetings be relocated to a venue better suited to the UN charter of principles. 

When the current historical host country grants or denies delegates travel visas to the General Assembly to suit the geopolitical views and interests of that country, placing such views and interests ahead of the humanitarian and inclusive spirit of the UN which are essential in forging global solutions to conflicts around the world in accordance to that spirit, such country constitutes an unjustifiable impediment to that process. 

In as such we undersigned are of the firm opinion that the current location of the UN headquarters in New York city, USA, is no longer appropriate nor suitable to reflect the UN core spirit of global peace, cooperation, and respect for human rights and dignity.

We petition that the UN headquarters and General Assembly be relocated to a location where the spirit of the UN Organisation will not be effectively shackled by the geopolitical whims of the host country.

From a logistical standpoint valid candidates could be Montreal or Toronto, Canada.

Location, decisional structure, veto rights.... the UN is facing many challenges.
Location shouldn't  be a problem, but it's becoming an issue by the interference of the current host country for its own geopolitical reasons.
Of all the dysfunctionalities it's probably the easiest one to start addressing.
If those issues are not addressed the UN risk becoming obsolete, drowning in their own intrinsic and imposed fallacies.

It's a sure road to irrelevance.
Time to change.

Irrelevance is not an option. The UN cannot become a sterile resonance chamber.
Now more than ever the world badly needs a meaningful and functional United Nations.

Moving the headquarters onto ground open to inclusiveness and exchange to, from and between all parties unhindered by partisan accessibility choices of intervenants can only be beneficial towards meaningful, effective and efficient renewal. 

Resistance will be fierce, even with widespread worldwide support.

We just have to be fiercer!
