This petition is a request to the superintendent, the principal, the school board of the F. W. Holbein School, the Mount Holly Police Department and the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office for Elaina LoAlbo to have a private viewing of the security camera footage near the bathroom where the injury occurred on February 6, 2023 at F. W. Holbein School resulting in the death of her 11 year old daughter Felicia LoAlbo.

Elaina was told she could not review these recordings during an active investigation, however the prosecutor’s office is giving statements to the press NJ 101.5 article that the case is closed. The mother of this child deserves to know if Felicia was alone at the time of the injury that resulted her death. 

Has the school been transparent with authorities regarding who may have been out of their classrooms at the time of the incident? Have they confirmed that any students marked absent may actually have been on school grounds? If they can prove that Felicia was alone Elaina would be left with no choice but to accept that this vivacious, self-advocating child suddenly decided to end her own life. NJ.com article

Until they show Elaina this evidence that they have collected, this case should not be considered closed because she could have valuable input.

The school officials have not shared with Elaina why they didn’t answer her daughters emails asking for help handling the bullying issues at the school. The mother had no communication from the school when there was a physical altercation in the weeks leading up to Felicia’s death.

Elaina deserves an answer, as do the parents of all of the children who attend a school where they feel unsafe.
