For 40 years, the 1986 cult skateboarding movie "Thrashin'" has remained a cornerstone of skate culture, thanks in huge part to its incredible, raw, and high-energy soundtrack. However, due to licensing issues and the dissolution of the original production company (Atlantic Releasing Corporation), the official soundtrack album was never properly released, leaving generations of fans in the dark.

We are petitioning the rights holders to finally open the vaults and officially release both the iconic instrumental score and the rare, unreleased studio tracks recorded specifically for the film.

What we are demanding to be rescued and officially released:

 

The Lost Studio Songs:

 

1.White Sister – "Touch the Sky": A legendary 80s AOR anthem recorded specifically for the film, which never made it onto any of the band's studio albums and is missing from streaming platforms.

2 .France Joli – "Gonna Get Tough": A rare, driving dance-pop track that sets the energy for key scenes in the movie, completely unavailable in high-quality studio format.

2.The Original Instrumental Score:

 

1.The phenomenal synth-rock and blues-fused score composed by Barry Goldberg, featuring the blistering, pioneering guitar work of Harvey Mandel ("The Snake"). Tracks playing during the iconic bridge jousting scene, the Daggers garage chases, and the final ramp showdown deserve to be heard in full, high-fidelity glory.

 

Right now, fans are forced to listen to low-quality, muffled audio "rips" on YouTube just to experience these masterpieces.

We, the fans of "Thrashin'", skateboard culture, and 80s music history, demand that the rights holders:

1.Hunt down the original isolated master tapes or session reels of the score and the unreleased songs.

2.Digitally remaster these tracks from the source.

3.Release a comprehensive, official "Thrashin' (1986) Deluxe Motion Picture Soundtrack & Score" on vinyl, CD, and all digital streaming platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music).
