We were fighting for his freedom, and we will never forget him - or the injustice of his stolen life. Heartfelt thanks go to Pat Craig of The Wild Animal Sanctuary who, without hesitation, offered the full extent of his resources to Shadow, and stood ready to deliver. Despite the urging of 180,000 people around the country and world, we were unable to convince the Newport News Peninsula SPCA to free Shadow from his cage and allow him to retire to a sanctuary. Yesterday, they announced his death.
