Very Limited Theatrical Release! (110k Signatures)

Bittersweet news: for one week only, Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender will screen in select movie theaters in Los Angeles and New York! It's set for an awards-qualifying theatrical run from July 24 to 30, with three showtimes per day at the AMC Burbank Town Center 6 in L.A. and the AMC Empire 25 in Manhattan. Tickets to see the film in theaters go on sale July 16 at 9am ET/6am PT. And if you're attending San Diego Comic-Con, there will also be a screening of the film on July 24.
I encourage anyone capable to go see this film on the big screen, as there might not be another chance. For the rest of us wanting to support the film, the streaming release has been moved up to July 25 on Paramount+.
Unfortunately, with the streaming release coming at the end of the month, the chances of a full theatrical release appear all but gone. There is always the chance, however slim, that a good turnout for these limited theatrical releases in LA and NY could open the door to a wider release in more places around the world.
Regardless, I think the support shown for this film's theatrical release has been absolutely amazing! I sincerely hope the incredibly talented people who worked on this film were able to see a glimpse of how much this fan-base around the world loves and supports their work! 110k signatures is no small number — in fact, it places this petition in the top 1% of all Change.org petitions. So, well done getting the word out and showing your support online!
I know this may not be the theatrical release news we were all hoping for, but who knows what the future holds! Let's all still remain hopeful and supportive of the idea of seeing ATLA in theaters someday... maybe for their next film!
Keep on supporting artists!
