Release legal permanent resident detained by ICE

Release legal permanent resident detained by ICE
The Issue
My name is Jim Brown and my wife, a legal permanent resident of the United States for 47 years, is currently detained by ICE. This ordeal is both shocking and unfair, considering she has committed no crimes and has been a valuable member of our community for nearly five decades.
Over ten years ago, she was involved in a minor misdemeanor – an isolated incident that should not define her or put her at risk of deportation. It's deeply concerning that now, after all these years of leading an honest life, she's being subjected to such harsh and disproportionate measures.
I served our country as a combat veteran for 20 years in the U.S. Navy. Throughout my service, I stood firmly for the values and principles that make this nation great, including fairness, justice, and the opportunity for redemption. Seeing my wife in this position shakes the very foundation of what I believed I was fighting for.
We must take immediate action to secure her release. My wife deserves the right to continue her life in peace, surrounded by her family and the community she loves. Being detained for a minor mistake made a decade ago is not only unjust, it’s a representation of a flawed system that needs change.
This is not just a personal plea for my family; it’s a call to defend the rights of all immigrants who are living in fear due to the capricious nature of immigration enforcement. Let’s show solidarity and compassion towards immigrants who live productive and law-abiding lives in our country.
By signing this petition, you will help us urge authorities to release her immediately and allow her to return to her family and life without fear. It's time for us to stand up and create a fair and just system that respects and honors those who call this country home.
Please sign this petition to demand the release of my wife and to advocate for the fair treatment of all legal permanent residents in the United States. Together, we can demonstrate that our nation is one of compassion and justice for all.
