This petition requests World Wrestling Entertainment release footage of John Cena’s first match – one of the most historic debuts in pro wrestling.

I’m Billy Hioureas. The absolute highlight of my brief pro wrestling career was facing John Cena in the ring for his very first pro wrestling match at Rick Bassman’s Ultimate Pro Wrestling on November 5th, 1999 in Southern California! But the tag team Jobbers ‘R’ Us -- Troubled Youth (yours truly) and Funky Billy Kim couldn’t bring down John Cena that night. 

Even though we took an L, I treasure my memories of competing with John. From the moment I met him, it was obvious he was destined for superstardom. He was hard working, respectful, and always wanted to learn more. Those keys to success took his career to the top of the world! 

On a personal level, I’ve always wanted the people I care about to see the video of this significant piece of my history. On a much wider level, I truly believe the world would love to see where pro wrestling’s perhaps most legendary career all began. I’ve been trying to find this footage for years, but to no success.

I heard that Rick Bassman sold the UPW tape library to World Wrestling Entertainment years ago, but perhaps the WWE doesn’t even realize they have this historic footage themselves?

As fans of pro wrestling, we are urging World Wrestling Entertainment and their parent company TKO Holdings to release this incredible piece of pro wrestling history. Millions of fans the world over want to see the first step in John Cena's legendary career!
