Ever since the release of Akhil Akkineni's movie 'Agent', I have been eagerly waiting to watch it. When it was released in 2023, I couldn't get to see it in the theatres , an experience shared by many others. The past year has been tugging at my patience and causing me a considerable amount of mental distress. 

The crux of this issue isn't just about a movie release. It's about respecting filmmakers’ efforts and the cinema-watching community. Many of us could resort to pirated versions, but that undermines the hard work, passion, and effort that goes into making a film. It's a matter of conscience and respect for all those involved in a movie's production.

Today, we're seeing an increasing number of films being released through OTT platforms and even on YouTube. With the pandemic restricting theatres' accessibility, this option has grown more critical. Even according to a report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), adaptation to digital platforms is the way forward for the film industry.

Thus, we urge the makers of 'Agent' to consider releasing the film on OTT platforms or YouTube at the very least. It's about time the waiting ends and we can enjoy Akhil’s extraordinary performance from wherever we are, in a legitimate way. Let's respect and uphold the efforts of the film industry.
