Appeal for the Release of Dr. Aafia Siddiqui

To: American state, president and attorney.

 

I am writing to appeal for urgent intervention in the case of Dr. Aafia Siddiqui, a Pakistani neuroscientist and mother who has suffered extreme injustices. Dr. Siddiqui has been subjected to imprisonment and severe mistreatment following her arrest based on unsubstantiated and highly questionable allegations. Reports indicate that she has endured unimaginable physical and psychological abuse, including claims of sexual violence that have left her traumatized and vulnerable.

 

Dr. Aafia Siddiqui's case highlights grave human rights concerns. As a compassionate society, it is our duty to ensure that no individual, particularly a woman in such a vulnerable situation, is subjected to unjust treatment or denied basic rights. Her release would be a significant step towards addressing the gross violations she has faced and would offer hope to countless people who believe in justice and fairness.
