URGENT: Water Leak Crisis in Hans Crescent Bryanston!

Since October 2024, the underground water pipes in Hans Crescent between St Audley and Chesterfield Roads in Bryanston have experienced a total of 9 water breaks, close to once a month. 

Not only does this regularly inconvenience the many residents in the much wider surrounding area serviced by this line (the longest break was 4 days in June 2025), but is also obviously costing Joburg Water many thousands of rands for both the repairs, as well as lost water. 

There are now so many repairs that the whole basic water infrastructure, now made up of multiple replacement pipe sections, has obviously collapsed. 

We are therefore calling for Johannesburg Water to immediately replace and relay all the underground water pipes in Hans Crescent between St Audley and Chesterfield Roads.
