The Issue

I am a concerned citizen the in the Hunt County area and I am a resident living on CR 3508 in Hunt County, Texas. Along with my neighbors, I am concerned about the proposed AI/Data Center Plant that threatens to change our way of life. Although the site is down the road, I own property directly across from where the new facility is to be built. This land is home to my animals, and I am deeply worried about the potential impacts on their health. The risks that this development poses to their well-being are myriad, including potential risks such as aborting fetuses, congenital abnormalities, and even death.

This is not just a matter concerning animals. Many of my neighbors and I are battling cancer, whether past, present, or enduring. How will the increased noise pollution, constant artificial lighting, and vibrations affect our health? There are too many questions and not enough answers.

Hunt County's natural environment is something we cherish and rely upon. The introduction of this data center could lead to significant ecological disruptions, with potential repercussions including depletion of our wells, decreased water pressure, and inflated water bills. These infrastructure strains extend to the electricity grid, threatening to drain available power and drive up our electricity costs – burdens we cannot afford.

We also don't know what they plan to do with the other 178 acres they have acquired on CR 3508. Solar Farm... another plant of some sort??!!

We urge the Hunt County Commissioners to reject this proposal for the AI/Data Center Plant. We need thorough environmental impact assessments that address community concerns and prioritize public health and environmental sustainability over corporate interests. Let's work together to find alternatives or modifications that consider the health and well-being of Hunt County’s residents, its animals, and its future.

Please sign this petition to help us preserve the tranquility, health, and sustainability of our community. Thank you for your support.
