As a proud combat veteran, who has faithfully served this country, it is deeply concerning to see policies like the recent gas regulation from the Newsome administration, which is projected to increase gas prices by 65 cents in 2025. Like many of my fellow citizens, I too struggle with the high cost of gasoline. With this new policy, our hard-earned paychecks are being significantly eroded, leaving us with insufficient funds to adequately take care of our families and settle other crucial financial responsibilities.

California is already grappling with affordability challenges. This gas price hike will only intensify the financial strain on struggling families, pushing many further into the margins. It's distressing to witness the administration moving forward with such a policy without giving substantial consideration to the financial impact it will have on the citizens.

It's not too late to reverse this directive. Together, we can call on the administration to reconsider this decision. Let us remind our leaders that their first duty is to the wellbeing of their constituents.
