Reject Paxton’s Voter Purge — Protect Texans’ Right to Vote
The Issue
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is launching another sweeping investigation — this time accusing over 100 undocumented immigrants of casting ballots, based on data newly granted by the Trump administration. Now, more than 200 votes from past elections are under scrutiny, mostly in Harris County.
Let’s be clear: voting by noncitizens is already illegal in Texas. What Paxton is doing isn’t about protecting elections — it’s about fear, political gain, and using government power to cast doubt on immigrant communities.
This isn’t the first time Texas leaders have tried to purge the voter rolls using bad or incomplete data. Last time, thousands of eligible voters — including U.S. citizens — were wrongly flagged and nearly removed. Now, with a new amendment on the November ballot and another push to require citizenship documents just to register, our freedom to vote is under real threat.
Texans believe in fair elections — and that means protecting every legal voter, not punishing communities based on suspicion or status.
Add your name to say: we won’t let fear be used to take away the right to vote. We demand a stop to politically motivated voter purges and an end to the targeting of immigrant communities for partisan gain.
