Reject Installation of Mobile Telecommunications Mast at RSRS Centre

The Issue

Our RSRS Centre is not just a structure, but a sacred space for our congregation to engage in religious and spiritual activities. Enjoying the serenity of this sanctified environment, our worshippers value the site and consider it crucial to sustaining their spiritual development. The proposal by the Contractor Cornerstone, planning reference number 2024/04122/PA, is to install a commercial infrastructure, specifically a mobile telecommunications mast, on our premises, is regarded as disrespectful and intrusive.

The installation of such a large, commercial structure would dramatically change the nature of our sacred space, contradicting the moral and spiritual values we hold dear. Places of worship should be safe and peaceful environments, free from intrusive elements that can be disruptive or seem unsympathetic with their spiritual purpose. A mast would also be visually disruptive, impacting the aesthetic continuity of the centre and potentially causing an emotional disturbance among our religious community members. We believe that our rights to worship in a space devoid of such disturbances should be stringently protected.

Respecting every individual’s right to practice their faith in a suitable, peaceful environment is a fundamental tenet of our society. With this petition, we urge the authorities to consider the sanctity of our RSRS Centre and reject the proposal to install a mobile telecommunications mast. Your signature can make a difference. Please support our cause.
