Hi Friends!
We had an excellent turn out for Council Members Bill Roth & Gay Willis' Community Meeting on Alley-To-Curb Transition. Thanks to all who came out and thanks for everyone's thoughtful comments. It was standing room only!

Meeting with the City Manager:
Today we had a very productive meeting with CM Tolbert. She was a good listener and communicator and our conversation was very productive. We felt like she wants to do the right thing for the city and its residents.
Regarding the survey: The city is proceeding ahead with sending a survey to all affected alley trash pick up households. Their stated goal is to determine trash pick up preference for various parts of the city. They will use this information to see how to address trash collection. We've had an opportunity to see the survey and offer feedback. It's very short and we encourage everyone to fill it out and return it. It should go out next week.
As a result of some of the research we have provided to the City Staff and the City Council, outsourcing is being considered as part of the discussion on trash collection.
Their goal is to review the survey results and then formulate a plan. Stay tuned!

Thanks to everyone! The fight continues!!
