Why is the media listening, but our elected Mayor isn't?
Hi everyone,
I wanted to give you a massive update on our fight for the March-Peterborough bus link. Yesterday, I took our campaign to the March Town Centre Fountain to show the authorities that we aren't just names on a screen, we are a community that needs to be heard.
The "No Reply" Reality
Despite us reaching nearly 200 signatures and sending multiple formal requests, Mayor Paul Bristow and the CPCA have still not responded to a single email, i get their busy but at this point, It seems they are hoping we’ll just go away. They are wrong.
Huge News: Heart Radio is on the case!
While the politicians are silent, the media is taking notice. I am now in direct contact with a journalist from Heart Radio (Global) who is interested in our story. This is a huge win for us—it means our message is about to hit the airwaves across the region!
What happened in March yesterday:
• Public Support: I met so many of you at the fountain! I even had a resident recognize the campaign because they saw our posters in Sainsbury’s.
• The Message is Spreading: Our posters are now up in local shops (like Sainsbury’s in March), and the conversation is happening on the streets, not just online.
What’s next?
I’ll be sending voice notes and photos to Heart Radio to help them build their story. If the Mayor won't listen to us, he’ll have to listen to the radio.
Please share the petition one more time today. Let’s get to 200 signatures before Monday morning so I can tell the news that our numbers are still growing!
Thank you for standing with me. We are making a difference!
