I write this petition as an ex-coach for the Grand Canyon University (GCU) men's volleyball program. A program that brimmed with smiles, tears of joy, accomplishment, and love. It offered me lifelong friends, and it's the heart and soul of Volleyball in the Valley. 

The GCU Men's Volleyball program was more than just a team...it was a family. It was the only team at Grand Canyon University to be ranked #1 in the nation. We brought pride to our university, our state, and our work in the world of volleyball. Our accolades speak for themselves: back-to-back NCAA appearances, a Final Four appearance, and our first-ever conference championship. Men's volleyball is the fastest-growing sport in the country across all ages, and our program was at the forefront of that growth. 

With the surprise decision to cut the program from Division 1 athletics, all of Arizona volleyball has felt the blow. Our athletes, coaches, and supporters are deeply wounded by this move, as it not only affects the GCU community but also all supporters of men's volleyball. 

We urge the decision makers to reconsider. The reinstatement of the GCU men's volleyball program would not only bring back our sport to its rightful place on the national stage but also reignite the passion and hope in the hearts of coaches, athletes, and sports lovers alike. Please help us—we appeal to you to sign our petition and support our cause to save the GCU Men's Volleyball Program.
