Jordan Garcia, #8, of the American Eagles, is not just a skilled football player on his varsity team. He is known for his dedication, sportsmanship, good academic grades, and respect amongst his peers. Jordan more than fulfills his role as a student-athlete. His exceptional talent on the field propels his team forward and serves as an inspiration to his fellow team members. The Eagles also just WON their first game of the season, last Saturday, after a rough start! 

Recently, Jordan was involved in an isolated incident where an opposing team member verbally abused him on the football field. This provoked him to respond out of character. While we acknowledge this temporary lapse in judgment, we must also remember that such incidents occur rarely, if ever, and do not accurately represent Jordan’s demeanor or approach to the game; nor undermine his contribution as an excellent friend and role model both on and off the field.

Current action taken to suspend Jordan is understandably hard on him and his fellow team members, who see in him as an icon of hard work, perseverance, and camaraderie. Therefore, we are seeking to have this arbitrary suspension reviewed, bearing in mind the circumstance and remembering that an exemplary individual and his future are at stake. 

Every signature will send a strong message: that we support Jordan, believe in his potential, and understand that one mistake should not overshadow his positive contributions and the good character he has consistently demonstrated.
