Hi This time next week the new Seaford Line timetable will be in operation and we’ll have lost 3 trains stopping at Marino Rocks, Marino and Seacliff weekdays between 7am and 9am. Therefore we just wanted to recap what we did last week when the news broke and what is planned next week to try and stop this happening. Our activity last week: - Nearly 200 signatures generated on the petition in a matter of days - Lots of compelling reasons given for signing petition - Call from Dept of Transport to discuss the petition and what we want - Prompting of an article in The Advertiser where Adelaide Metro had to clarify their max 30 minute wait time didn’t apply to Marino and Seacliff - Interview for Coast and City Weekly - Backing of Marino Residents Association and subsequent mail out to all members - Flyers printed and begun circulating - Social media updates to Liberals, Labor, Dept of Transport, David Spiers, Stephan Knoll and prominent journalists - Email updates on situation and petition to Stephan Knoll plus a request for a call Next week: - More flyers circulated - Article in Coast and City Weekly newspaper - Continue generating awareness of issue and share petition online (PLEASE HELP with this) - Continue social media activity to David Spiers, Dept of Transport and Stephan Knoll (PLEASE HELP with this) - Print petition with comments and deliver to David Spiers, Dept of Transport and Stephan Knoll Remember, other suburbs have been noisy about wanting more trains and express services and they’ve got them at our expense.
