As someone passionately committed to transparency and accessibility in politics, I am heartbroken by the suspension of the Punters' Lobbyist Pass by the Parliamentary Pass Office. This pass allows the Punter to directly lobby our politicians on behalf of the punters. It also offers a rare behind-the-scenes glimpse at the operations of Parliament House, exposing the intertwined relationship between corporations and our politicians.

Today, more than ever, the Australian public deserves to know what really happens behind the Government's doors. With many Australians feeling left out of the political conversation, restoring the Punters' Lobbyist Pass will play a key role in rekindling public engagement. In a democratic society like ours, it is crucial that each of us feels heard and represented. 

The suspension of the Punters' Lobbyist Pass has disrupted our efforts to make politics transparent, accessible, and inclusive, but it is not too late to rectify this. Together, we can demand that our voices be heard and our concerns, our well meaning gifts to politicians are received.
