I, alongside many others impacted, have seen firsthand the negative effects from the recent alteration to the 121/635 highway split. Not only has it lengthened our daily commute, but it has also significantly increased hazards and the potential for accidents. It's critical that the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) reviews this decision based on the adverse consequences it has had on the lives of local commuters. According to reports from the Texas A&M Transportation Institute, DFW area traffic delays are among the worst in the nation, which only compound the difficulties we commuters face with the 121/635 split change. This unnecessary routing has added to the congestion, instead of alleviating it as was promised. Drivers must tackle the stretch with even more trepidation now, due to the increased risk of collisions. We plead with TxDOT to restore the 121/635 split to its former, safer state and alleviate the burden on commuters.
