The recent closure of the bus route between Avonmouth and Lawrence Weston by First Bus has created a significant barrier for residents of Avonmouth and the wider Bristol area. This action has effectively cut off one part of the Avonmouth and Lawrence Weston Ward from another, causing inconvenience, hardship and frustration for those who have no alternative but to rely on buses.

Public transportation is vital for our community, providing access to work, education, healthcare and other major needs. It deprives residents access, and deprives others of access to Avonmouth, doubling harming the local community.  We urge First Bus to reconsider their decision and reinstate the number 3 bus route back through to Avonmouth immediately.
