I last wrote an update only a couple of days ago and at that time the petition had just passed 5,000 signatures. I am delighted to say that it has now passed 20,000!

This growth has been phenomenal and really helps us to show the media and government that this is a pressing issue that deserves coverage and attention. 

This morning I spoke about this petition on BBC Radio Suffolk. I talked about the experiences of those I have spoken to and those that have left comments on this petition. I am also due to speak to a leading disability charity later this week.

In addition to this, I have written a letter to my local MP and another letter to the Chancellor of the Exchequer. I have also sent them both a sample of the comments left on the petition. I hope they are able to review these documents and respond as soon as possible. I shall keep you informed of any progress.

In the meantime, please do continue to share this petition as this is only growing due to your hard-work and commitment. You are all amazing people and I'd like to personally thank you for your continued help and support on this important issue! <3
