Firstly, may I thank you for throwing your weight behind the petition to reinstate the mobile breast screening service for Avenue Surgery patients in Warminster.
I cannot share the details of the meeting held with the commissioners on 21 October, but I believe that we must continue to press – on all fronts – for that decision to be reversed when the service next visits Warminster in 2028. To that end, we now have support from a variety of quarters and I have written – in parallel with our MP - to the Integrated Care Board making the case to ensure that in future the service is provided within the town of Warminster.
The online petition numbers have flattened out at just under 550 (and we aspire for more) but we are also keen to allow those without IT access - and who wish to support the petition – to make their voices heard. To that end, paper petition forms will be available later this week at Coates and Parker, at the WAG House (behind the Old Bell) and at the Avenue Surgery.
Please pass this message on! Thank you.
