Following the massive ReAlign change that was implemented in AC Transit on the first day of school, Students at Skyline High who get off early (Majority Seniors, Few Juniors) have been struggling to return home in a safe and timely manner.

The 39 was our only close stop that ran hourly, and around times that students would leave before the school buses would come in. Now the closest stop is 25+ minutes away, on a non-walkable hill, down at Sereno Dr. Of which, is the 54.

The Administration and Students have tried to contact AC Transit several times, and we have only been met with an automated response stating the 39 was replaced with the 639. But AC Transit fails to acknowledge that the 39 was convenient due to the fact that it was the only bus near Skyline that did not come at 3:30 or 1:53 only.

Mind you, this is also an inconvenience for physically disabled students who relied on the 39 and those who are unable to walk down the long hill. It would also be an inconvenience if it were a rainy day and roads were slippery. Plus, not every student owns a car and is able to leave upon their own accord, and not everyone's parents are home to pick them up from school.

AC Transit, please reconsider your decision of removing the 39 and take our concerns to your Planning Department for further consideration, or come up with a solution that can aid this problem!
