Reinstate the 2006-2024 CW Logo used by the Network
The Issue
On January 14, 2024, The CW, a beloved network for many, unveiled a revised logo and branding. This drastic change was made under the design supervision of the UK-based agency, DixonBaxi. The modifications included a bolder stroke and replacing the iconic green color, used since its inception in 2006, with a new shade of red-orange - a hue they've decided to call "hot sauce". Furthermore, to our surprise, the word "The" was also removed from the logo, although the official name remained as "The CW".
Say what you will about change being a constant, the previous logo was more than just a logo to many of us. It represented a sense of continuity and familiarity. It's not just an aesthetic preference, but rather a symbol of the attachments and resonances we held. It's still being used at the end of One Magnificent Morning, The CW Plus, and on most stations - showing its persistent resonance.
Let's voice out our preference for the old identity - the 2006-2024 green logo which served as a visual representation of our love for the network.
