Reinstate teachers unjustly suspended from St Gregorios Udaipur

Reinstate teachers unjustly suspended from St Gregorios Udaipur
The Issue
For many of us who studied at St Gregorios Senior Secondary School in Udaipur, Rajasthan, memories of our school days are intertwined with the dedication and passion of two remarkable educators—Anita Kurian and Sanju Vargesse. Having had the privilege of being their student, I have personally witnessed their unwavering commitment and excellence in teaching, resulting in a 100% success rate among students. They have served the institution with unwavering integrity for over 22-30 years, shaping the lives of countless students along the way.
Recently, these dedicated teachers were unjustly suspended over minor issues as they were nearing retirement. The allegation that this action was taken to avoid paying their retirement benefits is deeply troubling. Both teachers are on the brink of what should be a well-deserved retirement, yet they face appalling treatment due to unwarranted administrative decisions.
It is particularly disconcerting that this decision comes from a school administration led by individuals— Father Manager Vargesse Thomas, Principal Mrs. Shubha Jose and Vice Principal Anil Goswami—who both have recorded criminal histories, including cases of domestic violence against one of them. The Management also pressurized the entire staff of 50 respected teachers to pay a yearly fee to 'learn' English while many of these are convent educated teachers themselves revered by students who are now very placed across the globe. Both teachers never limited themselves to just 'teaching' but all aspects of a child's growth that 2 generations who have studied from them can vouch for. This calls into question the credibility and ethical standing of the leadership and management at St Gregorios Senior Secondary School.
In the heart of our community, there's an urgent need to advocate for justice and fair treatment for teachers who have long been the backbone of educational excellence in Udaipur. These educators have had a profound impact on our lives, and they deserve to be treated with respect and dignity.
It is crucial for current students, alumni, parents, and concerned citizens to speak out against this unjust suspension and demand the immediate reinstatement of Anita Kurian and Sanju Vargesse. By signing this petition, you join a chorus of voices demanding justice and accountability from those in power at St Gregorios Senior Secondary School, which in recent years has lost its reputation over multiple issues concerning both students and teachers alike.
Please support this cause and help restore justice for these dedicated teachers by signing and sharing this petition with others who value integrity and fairness in education. Let's stand together to ensure that our educators receive the respect and recognition they have earned.
