We are a group of passionate students and parents from Ashford, UK who have been deeply affected by the recent decision to ban rugby at Ashford School. This sport has been an integral part of our community and school culture for years, fostering teamwork, discipline, and physical fitness among students. 

According to the World Rugby Organization, over 9 million people participate in this sport globally (World Rugby Organization). It is not just a game but a way of life for many young people across the world. The benefits it brings to mental health and physical well-being are immeasurable.

We understand that safety concerns may be at the heart of this decision. However, we believe that with proper training and supervision, rugby can continue to be played safely by all participants. The RFU (Rugby Football Union) has guidelines in place which ensure player safety without compromising on the spirit of the game.

We urge you to reconsider your decision and bring back rugby into our schools' sports curriculum. Let's not deprive future generations from experiencing this wonderful sport that teaches so much more than just playing a game.
